Our story

It started with a handful of people and one fixed point.

Anchor Point began in the fall of 2015 as a midweek gathering of twenty-five people in Craig and Beth Jarvis' living room. On February 26, 2017, we celebrated our official grand opening. We've grown since, but the core hasn't changed: ordinary people hooking their lives into what holds, and refusing to do it alone.

Anchor

Every ministry carries the gospel outward, to friends, neighbors, the city, and the world. It is our mission because it was His.

Ascend

From first questions to deep roots, we learn together who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him with integrity.

Persevere

Following Jesus draws resistance. By His Spirit in us, we have the strength to overcome the world, sin, and ourselves.

The Bible+

Scripture is God's written revelation of Himself, of salvation, and of a life that holds: without error, inspired by Him, and authoritative over everyone, everywhere.

God+

There is one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is equal in divine perfection while carrying out distinct, harmonious work.

Humanity+

God made people in His image to steward the earth. Yet since Adam all are born spiritually dead and stand in need of rescue. Jesus is the only answer to that need.

Salvation+

Jesus Christ died in our place for our sin and rose victorious. Faith in His deity, His atoning death, and His resurrection is the sole basis of salvation, by grace and not by our own work.

The Church+

The Church is everyone who trusts in Jesus, joined together by the Holy Spirit. Every believer belongs in a local church, shares in the mission, and practices baptism and communion.

The End Times+

Jesus will return personally, bodily and visibly, to judge the living and the dead. Those who trust Him will live and reign with Him forever on a renewed earth.

Relationships & Culture+

Every person matters infinitely to God. The Church is called to protect and honor the sanctity of life, gender, singleness, marriage, and the family.

Three men who carry this church together. They teach, they pray, and they take out the chairs with everyone else.

Craig Jarvis

Lead Pastor & Elder

Craig's passion is discipleship and leadership training. A native Canadian known for his animated teaching, he holds graduate degrees in Bible and communication and a Master of Divinity from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and has served as a senior pastor for seventeen years. An avid fly fisherman and golfer, Craig and his wife, Beth, have been blessed with four daughters.
